Ever since the end of the 1950's the African continent has been faced with refugee problems of enormous magnitude. At the beginning of the 1980's this continent had the largest number of refugees and African countries have been most generous in trying, within their limited resources, to provide hospitality for African refugees.
The main purpose of this survey iss to analyse the refugee situation in the country from the legal point of view, i.e., problems which probably are of a more lasting nature.
